Maricopa to ASU Pathways Program (MAPP)

ASU consistently ranks as the top school in Arizona for academic programs, affordability and innovation. The Maricopa to ASU Pathways Program, or MAPP, helps you plan and complete prescribed course work designed to help students transition smoothly to ASU to earn their bachelor's degree. Benefits of the Maricopa to ASU Pathways Program include:

  • guaranteed admission to ASU degree programs once all MAPP requirements are met
  • a cost-effective and time-efficient pathway ensuring courses transfer and apply to an ASU degree
  • access to ASU transfer specialists and pre-enrollment services
  • 24/7 access to online tools, including My ASU and the Pathway Tracker, that provide information about degree progress
  • invitations to special events at ASU

Before Signing Up

ASU has more than 250 degree programs available through the MAPP. Search below to find which ASU programs are part of the MAPP. If you’re interested in a program that isn’t currently part of the MAPP, please contact your community college advisor and ASU transfer specialist to determine which college courses you should complete before transferring to ASU.

MAPP Majors

These ASU degree programs are available through MAPP and they pertain to all Maricopa Community Colleges, though course offerings vary by Maricopa location. Search by campus, area of interest, keyword, or ASU college or school. Or show all available MAPPs.

Sign up for a MAPP

Sign up for a MAPP by completing this short form and submitting it to your community college advisor who will let you know if you’re ready for the program.  You will receive confirmation from ASU that you are officially signed up. Then you'll receive access to My ASU, with special tools and resources to help you transfer and succeed.

Keep in mind that when you sign up for this program, you are agreeing to the following terms:

  • You commit to working with your community college advisor and ASU transfer specialist to monitor progress on your MAPP.
  • You agree to complete the MAPP with a specified grade point average (GPA) and any requirements identified on the pathway document.
  • You will complete the MAPP within four years of signing up.
  • You agree that your academic data and advising information may be shared between your community college and ASU, to ensure your success.

Tools and Resources

ASU provides a number of tools and resources to support transfer student success.

Degree Search– Explore ASU majors and minors to find a degree program that matches your talents, interests and career goals. Search by keyword, area of interest or campus location.

Transfer Credit Guide – Learn how credits from other colleges and universities that you have attended will transfer to ASU. Search for ASU course equivalencies or request a transfer course evaluation.

Transfer Webinars - Participate in online workshops to learn more about transferring to ASU.

My ASU – After signing up for a MAPP, follow the Maricopa-ASU Alliance link from my.maricopa.edu to access My ASU and view individualized transfer and university information that will assist in the smooth transition to ASU.

Pathway Tracker– Track progress toward completion of your MAPP through the Pathway Tracker. See how courses taken fulfill pathway requirements. From My ASU, click on Pathway Tracker. To learn how to use the Pathway Tracker, watch this short tutorial.

ASU Career Services – As a MAPP student, access ASU Career Services, career advising, career assessment and job search tools. You will need your ASURITE UserID and password to access services. Note that some services have fees.

Still Exploring?

ASU’s Exploratory Pathway Program will help you learn more about ASU majors and career options. Sign up using this form and an ASU transfer specialist will be in contact with you.

You’ll start by taking course work that applies to most of the degrees in your interest broad area. You will have access to career assessments and ASU career counselors who can help you determine what career and major is right for you. Once you have made a decision you should sign up for a MAPP. The MAPP will provide you with course work that transfers and applies to your ASU degree and guarantees admission, once you complete all MAPP requirements.

Exploratory Health and Life Sciences
Exploratory Humanities, Fine Arts and Design
Exploratory Math, Physical Sciences, Engineering and Technology
Exploratory Social and Behavioral Sciences

NOTE: Exploratory students in business should sign up for the MAPP, not an Exploratory pathway.

Have Questions or Need Assistance?

ASU transfer specialists are available to help you understand the MAPP and provide support as you prepare for your transition to ASU. Contact an ASU transfer specialist.

Check this appointment calendar to find out when an ASU representative is available to meet with you. Appointments are available by phone, Skype or in-person.
